Just finished revamping my website last night. I am by no means a website designer so please let me know what you think. I made this site with Frontpage so it will only work on Internet Explorer. BTW does anyone know how to make Frontpage sites compatible with other browsers? Thanks!

Hi, Sarah, I saw your website and it looks good! The only thing I would suggest is, on the very first page(the homepage)..the cream color is so bright and eye catching, it is kind of hard to see the buttons(galleries, contact, home, etc etc).
Just my opinion, I did my own website with Dreamweaver. I am also by no means a website designer but I enjoyed the whoel process of creating it...
And, well, sorry, I dont have any clue about Frontpage. Can't help much....

Works fine on Safari and I.E. Explorer 5.2 for the Mac. Works fine in Safari for Windows.

The only thing I see happening on the mac is the logo background color does not match up with the maroon background color of the home page.Only on the homepage
This may be a frontpage issue.

Sarah, nice site. However, three things jump out at me—especially since I spent seven years designing web sites professionally.

First, the dark red home page with black links. The links are hard to discern and don't change when I mouse over them, and I personally don't care for the red. A wedding is a day of celebration so a brighter color would be better in my opinion. One of the other page's colors would work nicely.

Second, I would pick one color scheme and use it throughout the entire site in order to give it some cohesiveness.

Third, I'm assuming that's a snapshot of you and your husband on the "About Us" page. I recommend a more upscale photograph to reflect the professionalism of your business.

Aside from these points, I think you're headed in the right direction.

I completely agree with the home page color. I'm thinking of using a BW image instead and just choosing a different color. Hopefully that will fix the logo color problem too. So John you don't like the About Us picture I did this whole website this past weekend and when I got to that page I thought it would be great to have a picture of the two of us on there, but did not have any....so I quickly set up my tripod and snapped a few. I think I will have my assistant take a few of us outside, which will hopefully look more professional :-) I thought about having one color throughout each page, but I've seen quite a few websites with different colors on each page and I really like them. That and I couldn't decide on just one color.

Thank you all for your comments, hopefully later this week I will be able to make these changes.

Sarah,

I like that it's a simple design and easy to navigate. I agree with most of the comments already made. I know that your "Clients" link takes you away from the main site but it would be nice if the color/design schemes could match a little more.

What did you use for your gallery pages? Are those Lightroom galleries?

Yes they are Lightroom galleries. I use MomentShare for my client galleries and they will design my events page to look more like my website for free, so I think I will have them do that. Thanks!

It isn't that I don't like it. I just think it's more suited for a personal site rather than a business one.
