Woo hoo! After drooling over several custom WP blogs I've seen I decided to sit down for hours, grow a beard like David Letterman (kidding) and figure out how to do one myself.

Tell me what you think..whats missing, etc. I still need to change up the purple font that is shown on some of the pages and I'd like to add a menu bar w/ drop down navigation eventually. But until then, would you all mind looking at it, give me some C&C, note anything that looks off, doesn't work, what you like, what it needs that I may have forgotten ,etc.

One thing I DO need to figure out is how to add a link back to the main site. Anyone know how?

ooooh Erica! I'm totally diggin your new blog :) Was it very difficult to customize? I've been thinking about switching to wordpress to host on my own server.

Hi Christie,

Well, I guess after finally getting a GOOD explanation on how I was doing it ALL wrong and when I finally uploaded the right folders to the right directory on my FTP the rest wasn't too bad. I'd say its like a 3 on a scale of 5. Do-able but not without pulling some hair out of your head for a while. I"m a persistent type of gal so I wasn't gonna let some nerd-code get the best of me hehe.

The blog looks good Erica. I use wordpress too and only minimally adjusted the template I'm using. It's interesting how you put a lot of the same content from your main website on your blog (speaking more about the tabs). Makes it easier for someone who finds you through the blog rather than your main site.

Its the exact reason I did that. Better to have the info repeated on two different sites than having to email the info to each customer who asks :)
