find the price list! - 01-15-2008, 01:52 PM

OK, I need some assistance PLEASE!!

I've had sseveral brides tell me that they cannot find my price list on my web site (Flash or HTML)
it is located on the contact page on each one so can I get some volunteers to take a look and tell me if I need to make any changes to the link? underline it? bold?

Thanks!!

I think I would move it to the services page.

I agree, my first inclination would be to look on the service page. Also, the hyperlink doesn't look like a hyperlink until you hover the mouse cursor over it. Make the hyperlink stand out more from the regular text.

BTW I was looking at HTML site originally. It's a little more clear in the Flash version since it say "Prices and Contact", but I still think the hyperlink should look like a hyperlink.

Two clicks for the flash site, two clicks for the HTML site. The Gallery site makes me hunt for it, but it's there under Contact. You have too many prices listed though??? The flash site starts at $1500, on the HTML site it's $1250, and if you go through the Gallery, you have a $1000 wedding listed and none of the others??? :)

With just a quick look in Firefox, I see it in Flash site, but don't see it anywhere in the HTML site.

Ah ha. Found it on the HTML site. It is just much easier and user friendly on the Flash Page.

I'm curious about your print pricing. Is there a substantial difference between the 8x10 and 11x14 prints other than size that would justify the 10x price increase?

I found t but I would try and make it stand out a bit more... it blends in with the other text that surrounds it!

Yes when just scanning the page and not reading every word it is very hard to find. If you didn’t tell us which page I may have not found it on the HTML site. The flash site has “prices and contact” … the HTML site only has “contact us”

Yes I would get it out of the verbiage … and just have a direct link … “Pricing” or as I like to call it “Investment”

good question, I actually need to change my prices for 8x10 and smaller to make them closer, but I think I just had a stupid attack and was trying to keep it close to the session price which I really don't need to do now that I think about it. thanks for calling my attention to it

Yeah, I think you need to have "Price List" in big bold letters, underlined, and very obviously a link, completely separated from any paragraphs. Make it a bold heading on the services page, or just list the packages right there so it only takes a maximum of two clicks to get there from the splash page.

The thing about your average web browser (the person, not the software) is that they are impatient. Clicks are good if you need to count them for advertisers (hence CNN, others have auto page refreshes to pad their counts), but not so good for me. I had to click to choose HTML version, click Contact -- because maybe the prices are there instead of Services??? -- read paragraph carefully in the hopes it might lead me to some prices, and oh look it does!

There you go. :)

When I click on the Weddings tab on the

I found it used HTML, I clicked on contact and Prices. Up pops this flower. The print was small about the pricing and I didn't notice it and clicked "Contact and Prices" again, then I realized that it was on that page. I am glad I had my glasses on!
