Question I need some website advice - 12-30-2008, 02:16 AM

I started out selling my photos years ago on art.com and they then broke off the photographers to a new website. Since the split, sales have gone way down and I am looking for a new way to showcase and or sell my work.

There are several "photographer website builders" out there, some with a startup fee, some without, but most have limited galleries and limited #'s of photos within the galleries.

I am sort of at a loss as to where to go from here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Put me down as another vote for Smugmug. GREAT customer support. Plus, as an added bonus, they are sponsors here--gotta support those that support us!
You can get a free site all the way up to a pro site where you can take orders, credit card payments and have them print/ship your final product if you want.

Thanks for the advice. I will be sure and check it out. I have looked at tons of them and I never ran across Smugmug until I started browsing the forum again. I appreciate everyone's input and hopefully I'll be able to get it going soon.

I used ifp3.com when I was selling stock photos. I like their security and the support staff is great. Fairly reasonable too. I changed only because my photography took a different direction and I needed a different type of website.
