Centering banner in squarespace - 06-19-2009, 08:08 AM

My friend just setup a squarespace website and I've been helping her with her banner. Everything is ready to go, but we're trying to get the banner to be in the center of the page. As it is now, it's to the right of the page.

We've messed with the widths and margins on the appearance editor till we were blue in the face. Anyone have any tips on this?

Thanks!
Britney

If your adjusting code find where the alignment is noted and change it from "right" to "center". I fumble through my own website so I can't be more detailed than that. But to center you literally tell it to center.

The CSS code for making an HTML element centered is:

margin:0 auto;

OR

margin:0px auto 0px auto;

If you know nothing of web design, it might be difficult for you to find where to put this in. If you have a link to the site, I can direct you further.
