Hi everyone! I've just got my website up and running and if anyone has the time, I'd really appreciate it if you could swing by and tell me what you think.

Thanks so much!

Since you want to be found in Google (and other Search Engines), I would add a little more info, like your location, to your 'title' tag. Something like this:

<title>Bronte Texas - Morgan Webb Cowboy Photography</title>

I would add a little more info on your 'Description' meta data too. Something like this:

<meta name="description" content="Morgan Webb is a Bronte, Texas based photographer specializing in fine art western photography.">

As it is right now..."Photography with a Touch of Texas"...that tells me nothing about YOU and YOUR business.

I would also suggest picking a color "theme" and stick with it.

Good luck with it!

Hikin' Mike added 4 Minutes and 51 Seconds later...Double Post Merged Below

Just to add...Maybe trying a different font for your "logo". It doesn't really say "western" to me.

agree with using more search words in your tags. i dont see issue with putting them on your splash page down bottom either. make sure you write what people search for - like cowboy photography, western photos, etc to make sure google grabs it. add your zip code also.

I only had time to scan the site - this jumped out.

the about page:

I hadn't kept up with it as much as I wanted - rephrase that so its positive or remove it. it makes it sound like a current dilemma and undermines you.

the story about the horses is GREAT - I would personally add the feelings you had after you developed your film. feel free to embellish and say the moment had so much more to offer than an inexperienced person could capture. I'd use it to plant seeds of doubt and spell out why they should hire you. if the story ends with you got great shots and you were 11, it undermines why they should hire you. good story telling skills, though.

contact -

put your phone number at the top w/ your email. add your location for anyone who didnt see you splash page - bronte texas and zip code. your web address is LONG...lots of room for error. kinda late for that, but just keep that in the back of your mind.

Glad to help. Give it a week or two and I'm sure Google will find you and index the new changes. About the keywords, make sure they are relative to the content. That's why I put a bit more info on my home page.

You might want to list your website on your signature.

EDIT: Not the "Gospel", but an interesting tool:
http://www.grader.com/site.php?URL=m...hotography.com

My score is '80'.
