Free Websites for Those In Need - 08-14-2009, 10:00 AM

I am a working on building a portfolio of websites as well as developing my skills as a web designer. I have been teaching myself throughout the past couple of years while I have been in college. I am not a professional but aspire to be at that level someday. While I have some free time before the next semester starts up, I would like to work on a website or two. So I would like to offer my time and skills to those who are not professionals yet. If you need a photography website or blog, I would like to build you one for free. I just ask that you are not a professional making money off your website and that you have a small link on your website to mine. I know HTML, CSS, and some PHP. I also work with Dreamweaver and am familiar with most blogging platforms including Wordpress and Tumblr. Please send me a message or reply to this thread if you are interested and we can discuss from there.

Thanks!

looking for magazine style, with voting page and image galleries.
message me for more details if you are interested.

Garrett - that is pretty awesome of you to offer. Most people on this board - are looking to make money off of their website.

You might get a few takers - if you could post a couple of sites that you've done already.

It's kind of like hiring a photographer - having never seen their work.

I think he means: Aren't earning money at photography... ;-) And I've seen your work... SOMEONE better be paying you... cause you do a good job! ;-)

Here is one of the latest ones I've done... http://promosofet.com. It is a very basic design. I can and am willing to work on something a little more complex.

When I say not "professional" I really mean that I don't want to do someone's website for free that could afford or was planning on paying for a website. If I did someone's website that was initially planning on paying a design professional to do it, then I feel as though might be taking away from someone's income. Does that make sense?
