Angry Menu Generator Question - 01-02-2010, 11:11 PM

I am redesigning my website into something more professional since it used to be a "show off" site for my friends. I am having problems finding an html based software that will help me create a vertical menu bar, with the ability to have drop down menus and submenus.

I currently use Dreamweaver and it's not very helpful in the menu making department and I cannot use CSS, never was any good with it. I tried the god-awful Frontpage and there's a way to do it one there but it's not transferable to Dreamweaver. The two programs don't play nice with each other.

Anyway, can someone help me out on this one?

Thanks,
Michelle

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can create a menu system without using some CSS. With that being said a quick Google search found these

http://www.cssmenumaker.com/ (check out the Dreamweaver plug-ins)
http://purecssmenu.com/
Navigation Tab Menu Generator CSS - Tabs Generator
http://www.ex-designz.net/codegen.asp
Dynamic Drive- All Levels Menu Generator
CSS Navigation Menu Generator - Webmaster Tools - Webmaster Tools, Developer Tools, Programming Tools
Multi-level Navigation CSS Generator

I hope this helps.

Michelle - check out templatemonster.com - you might find it easier to start with something easier there.

There are lots of places you can find that will generate the CSS code for your menus for you. Just a quick search shows this:

CSS Menu Generator

Also there are literally hundreds of tutorials out there that have the code already written you can copy and paste into dreamweaver, with little or no changes. Just a few I've found:
