i just posted up my first launch of my website and before i put my official name on the site for its permanent address i wanted come c/c i plan on updating it every couple of weeks with new stuff so like i said this is first launch, let me know your thoughts...

thanks!! i am working to put a bunch of my newer shoots up there as well just had to get it out there for a couple of clients to look at when i bid a job.... lol... i am excited to make the tweaks with some of the shoots being added and don't want it to be like too much to look at...

I'm not sure what kind of critic you are looking for so I am going to give you an overview. Please keep in mind this is my opinion take it for what it is worth and remeber you asked for the critic....

I am sure that you know you have to licensed to sell pro sports photography. You can not sell without permission, in addtion, anyone who is a minor and identfiable in your photos you must have a model release from the parents to post onto the internet and can not use first and last name together and anyone 18 or above you must have permission to post perferable with model release or written release - all of this because you are charging for your services thus putting you in the catagory of professional.

Your template is fine and was fairly easy to navagate. Looks a bit unprofessional to me but that's just my opinion.

IMHO you photographs do not look professional. They lack color correction, focus and appear to be over processed. One event and a half wedding do not make for a pro photog in these areas.... Overall I think your portfolio lacks depth and I would suggest you focus on one area get great at that before moving into the next. I would also strongly suggest you work on improving your photography skills before charging.

It takes time to polish your skills - spend the time doing that and you passion will move you forward.

thanks for your opinions... i am all about constructive criticism... i am aware of the need for releases and do get those before posting online, as for the mavs photos i do not sell or distribute any of those photos, i use them only in my portfolio as examples and do them for one of the social sites for the team, i have done a lot more than simply those on my site in way of all the areas just in the quick release of the first site was not able to post as many examples in each area

I love how you have used iweb to put this website together. Tomorrow Apple may announce an upgrade of iweb09 to iweb10, which will give you more features to add to your website. However, your website looks really nice.....

yeah i figured that for a first launch iweb was a great start, you have to start somewhere...lol... and it did give some fun options to make my own for a clean and simple way for people to see my stuff... i am working on a more customized site in my spare time but it will take time and this works until then....:)
