upload site for printing questions...

i don't even know where to begin to research this, so thought i'd start here.


i'm a very amature, pro wanna be. i do mostly photography for friends and families in our church, and birth photography for clients (which doesn't usually require printing for family!)

i don't make a lot of money on this, do a lot of it for "love gifts" and to build a portfolio/get practice to hopefully branch out.... so usually i have a session, edit photos and give the family the disc with the ones they want. most of my demand is at christmas time.... so it's usually just family photos and individuals of this kids.

anyway...i've now come into a situation where one of my clients would like to share the photos with her inlaws so they can print some. she wants me to make money off this. i'm not in the position to print and charge and all that....

so my question is....is there a website like snapfish or shutterfly that i can upload and share photos to a client for their relatives and if they choose to have the company print the photos, i'd receive a profit?

would like a site that i don't have to pay an upfront fee....just like all the online photo places, but instead of 10cents a photo, they are more and i get a profit.

does that make sense? sorta like cafe press...

is there anything out there like this?

I will say that the ease of zenfolio and smugmug for setting your own prices as well as their integration into the galleries and the presentation make it well worth it for me to use.

I use zenfolio and they are super responsive, and I have found that they are among the most affordable/take the least % of nearly any of the major ones out there. They are partnered with mpix as the lab for prints.

at around 85 dollars a year they are a fairly affordable option at 7$ per month.
