Switch or not to Switch - 04-17-2010, 09:45 PM

I have had my website up and running for a few years now. Until now I have not felt the need to switch to a "Flash" site. I have always felt an html site is more assessable to the everyday user. I feel my site is a little basic, but flows well and does the job.

I am on the fence about going with PHOTOBIZ and doing a joint flash/html/iphone web site...... Any opinions?????

I'm actually thinking about going the opposite way. Apple has made it pretty clear that they will never support flash on the iphone and ipad which basically renders my site useless on those platforms. I'm thinking of HTML5/jquery in the future.

Another option is showitfast.com. They just announced automatic support for iPhone/iPad. A little more expensive ($40/month) that your average hosted site.

Just my 2 cents.

avoid flash its not great for SEO and more and more mobile web users wont be able to see everything on your site and will click off.

if the ipad and other tablets take off that don't support flash which i think they will there will be a lot of people with flash site scrambling to go back to an all html type site
