How many of you think its detrimental to business to network your website, to your blog, to your facebook, to your twitter account, to your <insert other social networking site here>?
And let me explain my question.
Lets say your twitter account is updated from your FB page, and your FB page is updated from your blog. So when you post a message, your blog updated your FB page with a link, and then your FB page updates your Twitter account with a link, and then your Twitter account updates other sites with a link. So that end user is going to have to click the first link to be taken to your Tweet, then they'll click the link and be taken to your FB page, then they'll click the link and be taken to your blog. Thats at least 3 clicks, and three pages to load before actually getting to your information. And, if they are surfing on a smartphone, its not an instantaneous thing.
Everyone preaches that when social network marketing, you want to grab the persons attention in the first 3-5 seconds, and get the info to them in the quickest way possible without boring them with paragraphs and paragraphs of information.
Doesn't networking all your blogs and social sites defeat the purpose?
Personally, I know that if I click someones Tweet about a product, and that takes me to a FB page, I will immediately return to Twitter and skip the information. I dont have the time to chase your information through links around the internet. Quit being lazy and take two or three extra minutes and post the links individually.
What's your opinion?
