New Phishing Attack For Model Mayhem Members

Be careful. There is a new phishing attack method for Model Mayhem members.

This morning I got an email with following content

From: Jaime Morente <jaimemorente9@gmail.com>
Date: June 27, 2010 9:27:42 AM CDT
To: jaimemorente9@gmail.com
Subject: MM

Not sure if this is you. Or if someone is using your images.

When you click on the link, it looks like a Model Mayhem login page. I entered a bogus login information and of course it denied my login and took me back to the correct Model Mayhem page.

It's not like they even tried to mask the URL. I clicked on the link just because I wanted to know what that site was all about.

Louis - just out of curiousity, wouldnt it be safe to not have an active link to a phishing site?

The domain has a slightly different name, which is modelmayNam instead of the obvious, modelmayHem

I got that same email this morning. I informed the moderators at MM, and hopefully they can do something about it. At least make other users aware of it.

for me it came into my regular mail, which is weird because it's not even the same email address that I use for MM. So it's not that they're getting emails from MM, but just seems to be hitting up emails that perhaps are listed on photography websites or something.
