Miller's Storefront? - 08-11-2010, 12:02 PM

I'm trying to get things together to start doing projection sales, but in the meantime I want to find an onilne option that's better than uploading images to my website. That's what I've been doing thus far and it's a pain in the butt. Has anyone started using Miller's Storefront option for their online proofing and sales? I'm thinking about using that now and wanted to see if there were any comments on it. I searched for previous posts about it and didn't come across any...let me know if there's anything I missed.

Thanks!
Britney

I don't use Miller's storefront I just use them for prints and albums.

I do my online proofing on Zenfolio it's more cost effective for me.

I suggest you put all your efforts into setting up for projection sales. Once you set up a storefront it takes the urgency off of moving toward your real objective. If you don't already have a projector, then use your laptop or even a desktop to begin face to face sales. There is a learning curve to doing this, but the rewards are significant.

Sage advice as always from Don.

We use Millers Storefront for our Photobooth and Event pictures where we have large numbers of pictures, but of many different people who will want only 1 photo. In this case, it is more effective for us to use the storefront.

I almost signed up with Miller's for my hosting.. but found out that you can't sell a metallic print in the same event as a lustre print. That blows my mind, and I won't be using them. I mean, if I have to make two galleries just so I can offer metallic.. what's the point?
