Tech help: photoshop/dreamweaver - 09-09-2010, 05:12 PM

I'm playing around with a site template - designed in photoshop - I sliced it...saved it as html & images....opened the file in dreamweaver to link (it's a five page site) and when I link, I get a white space around various areas on the page.

I checked to make sure border properties are set to zero... which they are...

Anyone have a quick fix/easy answer to this question? I did a google search, but couldn't find anything...

Hrm. Possibly a padding or margins issue? Maybe try setting them to specific amounts? It's hard to say without seeing the underlining HTML and how photoshop/dreamweaver is slicing/coding it.

It only showed up after I linked the first button to the 2nd page... go figure... I'll check the padding/margins.

Oh ok, now I see what you mean. It's probably caused by the blue borders on the images you are using as links/buttons. In your navigation, click on each of those images and assign a zero border. By default when you turn an image into a link, a border is automatically applied.
