How can I make this kind of slideshow/gallery?

Working on a small project and the long and the short of it is that the client would like something as similar as possible to the style of gallery employed by the New York Times (example here: Frigid Night Belongs to Bears - Slide Show - NYTimes.com)

I've found the TTG Panic gallery plugin for Lightroom which is close (here: TTG Panic Gallery) which is somewhat close but I'd rather not have the thumbnails, I want to be able to have just the image and the caption much like the Times.

Any thoughts?

Andrew - The slideshow on the page is static, so for each click of the arrow it takes you to a new HTML page.

Are you wanting like a flash gallery? If so, check out slideshowpro.net, you'll need to either integrate the gallery into your blog or design your own website.
