Talking New Website using Photo Biz! - 11-12-2009, 05:32 PM

Hello my fellow enthusiasts! I finally found a website template and hosting company for my website! I love PhotoBiz because first of all, their customer service is EXCELLENT! Second, their templates are really nice and they are always adding new ones. And, you can customize your templates, such as different backgrounds, fonts, menu items, galleries, or add links to other sites.

I am really happy I went with them. It took me so long to figure out what I wanted, and for me, this was a perfect solution. You should definitely check them out. It's worth it. I paid a one-time fee of $125 and went with the hosting fee of $15 per month, with up to 200 pictures. That's more than enough for me, considering I am using other galleries from other sources for my "proofing sections," etc. If you need more pics, then it's a little more per month. Oh, and believe it or not, let's say you get bored with the template you chose. No worries, you can change it as often as you like to any other template. And, I also forgot to mention that I have full control of everything I publish, no need to wait for someone else to do it for me.

Anyway, here's my new website: http://AliciaNapierPhotography.com.

If you'd like, let me know what you think. :)

Have a great day!

-Alicia

Looks good. I've been way to busy/lazy to do anything with my site really. quick and easy (which is no excuse) for me. I really need to sit down and get a quality site up.

Couple suggestions would be on your pricing. For single prints pricing seems a bit low for your location. I may be mistaken as I have not done market research since I lived in OC over a year ago.

The other suggestion would be to loose the calendar. A potential client may see the date they are interested in and decide to look for someone else. If they can't see that they contact you. (Getting contact is key) You can then try to arrange another date with them that works for both of you, or in a worse case scenario refer them to a "friend" to keep the networking part of your market working with you.

Hi Jonathan. Thank you for your input. I really appreciate it. I adjusted the price list just a tad.. I was thinking they were a little low too. :)

As far as the calendar goes.. I will probably leave it for now. I understand your point, but I figure since I'm not really "looking" for the work (I work full time), I will leave it up until I start getting several bookings at once. I just received a request two days ago through the calendar, so it was fun receiving it!

Thanks again for your input. :)
