Please Critique Relaunched Website - 01-19-2012, 10:26 AM

Hi friends,

I have just transitioned out of one website (template site, little room for web design, and worst of all-- flash based) and am working with a web designer on my new portfolio website:

Home | John Cain Photography

Will you please give your blunt critique of the new website?

My biggest concern is the 'full-size' feature of the site if the viewer is viewing the webpage in a wider than normal dimension... it will only show a part of the photos. Thoughts?

Thank you for your time!

Kindly,
John

Biggest thing that hit's me in the face is the transparent layer cutting heads and faces and you've already pointed out the "full size" feature. Also, you may want to check how it is on a mobile device and an iPad.

Looking on an iPad is good as far as seeing the whole width of the page. I'm not a fan of the social media bar cutting off the left sides of the photos.

Speed of download and swiping to the next picture seems good.

Great concept with the sideshow view at the bottom.
