Online proofing, sales & shipping Site ? - 09-02-2007, 09:30 PM

I am looking for a site that does online proofing that has a good selection of products, prints & more. One that people can view thier gallery and order right from them and they ship. Is there one like this that anyone has used before ? I know this has been a topic before , but I think there are so many differn't types I am a little confused (easy for me)! Just want a do it all type of site to send people after a session. Thanks !

I've used mpix to upload personal pics and distributed the link so that family can order what they want and it gets shipped right to them. They are quick and great quality.

Don't know how it would work for a professional set-up though.

I have used MPix quite successfully for printing, but never as a site where I would send my customers to display my wares.

I would look at the following:

- SmugMug - www.smugmug.com - $150 a year for a pro account
- Exposure Manager - www.exposuremanager.com - Not sure of pricing, but have heard it's good.
- Pictage - www.pictage.com - Expensive, but the people who use it swear by it (not swear AT it).

Hope that helps.

This is close to what I am looking for! Do you use this Todd ? I like their breakdown of pricing, shipping etc. I just wish I knew the whole price breakdown like what is their print price on other items like the canvas wraps ? Is there a way to veiw all the print cost per item (esposure's cost) to see what you're profit is ? Thanks!

I use exposure manager. You set whatever price you want for any product. They do all the work and send you a check monthly. Their print quality is adequate. I haven't had any complaints about them. Their interface is OK, but not as easy as it could be. I hope they restructure it some day.

I use Backprint (or at least I'm starting). No fee but a 15% commission on every sale. I'm not looking to make too much money in prints... but just to make it available online (instead of proofs and forms to 180 kids). I haven't run an actual event on it yet... but a fellow team-shooter uses it too.

Nope, not yet, but this is who I have decided to use when I kick it off shortly. Let me know how it works out.
