my revamped website...needs to be critiqued again - 07-13-2005, 01:32 PM

I posted my first website and asked for it to be critiqued. You guys gave me plenty of comments & feedback. I took those ideas and created another website.

If you remember, I was trying to emulate a Polaroid feel for my first website. Well that idea did not work out the way I hoped.

Once again, I'm asking for your help. If you have some time please head over to www.gametimephotos.com and tell me what you think.

Thanks,
Sonny

excellent pics, easy to navigate site. however, many of the images look oversharpened. a minor nit on an otherwise great job.

GOOD LUCK!

I like the look and feel. I don't like the postcard viewer, its not very easy to navigate since the page doesn't scroll. I'd stick with Simpleviewer as its easy to navigate. The theme really fits your type of photography (sports).

Nice job.

David

P.S. Would you mind sharing your frames file on the sports cards you have listed. I'm not wanting them for commercial use, I'd like to make some Karate cards for my kids and I like the look of yours.

I have a large resolution so I can see the entire page but those with 800x600 may have problems. I love the layout and especially the icons. About the only "minor thing" I would suggest is to get an email address that matches your site name: sonny@gametimephotos.com

I've noticed that more people tend to take you serious without the hotmail, aol, or hotmail account; makes you look more like a business.....

You could even create an email account and have it forward to yahoo if you want....

I love the icons and the idea of the page.. I have my res at 1024x768 - Things I am noticing though --

* The whole page does not fit/adjust itself when opened. I have to scroll over to the right. The text is running off my screen. It feels awkward.

* The black "border" on your services and event button is incomplete -- it is showing gaps to me.

* There seems to be too much of a gap between your menu and the main frame.

Again.. I really love the theme. I can't wait to see the final product :)

when you choose photo gallery, that is where the black border is off on all 4 sides...

also, the tables that hold your photos - are those set to a specific width? if you set them to 100%, when you squeeze the screen in - they will automatically adjust and wrap...

ah, you've got your table width set to 1024 - that's generally not good - again, set too 100% and it will expand or contract, depending on what size browser window is viewing it...

I see the problem you described in IE6, but do not see the problem with Firefox. This one has got me stumped. Thanks for the heads up. I'll try to figure out the problem.
