Indian Weddings and Pricing - 05-27-2009, 08:32 AM

Hey there everyone. I'm looking for people with experience with Indian weddings to shed some light here for me.

I'm posed to be the photographer for an Indian wedding over the Thanksgiving holidays. I just don't know where start on the pricing. It's over four days.

In your experience - should I give him a per hour rate? Since maybe he won't need me 8 hours each day? Or should I just multiply my typical wedding coverage x 4?

Anyone else that knows the typical schedule of the 4 day event, I'd appreciate the enlightment.

-Michaelle

third day may be some cerimony at home (approximately 3 hour)

Personally I would a per hour rate. It would be easier because each day might not be 6 - 8 hours.

Hi! For the Indian weddings that I have shot, I have them select a wedding package for their actual wedding day (which is usually on the Saturday). For the extra days needed, I charge per hour. Hope this helps :)

I can send you a pm of a wedding proposal I did for one of my Indian weddings. They booked it at this price, but mine was only 3 days. It will give you an idea, however.
