Taking photos at the Hermann Park? - 09-01-2009, 10:38 AM

I have a bridal shot coming up next week and i need to find the place where the bride can get dressed and do the make-up. I was wondering if there's some sort of dressing room around the area?

Are they clean enough that my customer isn't offended by it? It would take about hour or two to put up a make-up, so i just wanted to make sure.

so relative. i would suggest going there and looking at them your self. if she is going to do mu and everything...i'm leaning towards no. if she is just going to slip into her dress, it would probably work.

what does she expect? a hotel room right on hermann park?

I would be surprised to find a park bathroom that would have ac and be nice enough for makeup, etc.

She should come with hair and makeup ready to go.

Well you could always go up in Spring/Humble in Mercer Arboretum, the toilets are way cleaner and the park is less crowded too.

Miller Theater restrooms are very clean and are air conditioned - quite chilly actually. However, they are usually locked except when a performance at the theater is taking place. Additionally, park employees will run people out of the facilities if they are being used as a changing room.

Have her either rent a nearby hotel room or come ready to shoot.

Thank you so much for the info! I was just wondering if anyone had same situation because i've seen a lot of photographers at the park. i guess they just did the makeup elsewhere.

every shoot I've done there, the bride came already dressed. it's never been an issue, just let her know and she'll adjust...
