Book with engagement pics for guest book - 02-26-2010, 12:59 PM

A bride just asked me to lay out a book of pics that their guests will use to sign in.

Any suggestions on what to use? I usually only make the leather bound flush mount books, but I don't think the B&G want to drop a grand+ on the guest book.

Thanks!

I don't know if this helps or not, but we had one of our engagement photos printed out large in black/white and all the guests signed that one image. We have it framed and mounted on our wall.

Thanks - we had offered that to them, but they want to display multiple pics in a book.

Your color lab probably offers press printed books for a reasonable price. That is what we have been using in this situation.

I did one for my wedding this past weekend, she wanted it with lines for signatures, others do it without lines:

Ashley and AJ’s Photo Guestbook Beaumont Texas Wedding Photographer – BellaFotografica

Most good labs can do this, be sure and choose an "art paper" for the paper or the ink won't absorb quickly enough and will rub off/smear.

I use a local lab, Pounds in Dallas, who prints my Press Books. I use the lay-flat kind so it is easier to sign. I too put lines on the pages so people can sign in the place I want them to sign. If you want to see one I have coming up for March 6 go here. This 20 page book with a hard cover is $81.00

Have fun,

I have used MyPublisher from the Costco people. You can get a leather covered book for approx. $50. You just design each page with the signing lines on them as they were a print with the photo also. You can submit as many pages as you want, the price just goes up with every so many pages.

Full Color in Dallas also does layflat press books for an affordable price. Their hard cover books are on sale through mid-March.
