I had a bride that purchased the full DVD of her wedding. I put all images on two Dvds (I was out of DL) and got them to her. She told me that the first DVD only half of the images pulled up and none on the second. So I reburned it (this time had a chance to get a DL disk) and I went through all 800 some odd pictures and looked at every image to make sure it would pull up... it did... i did the same thing on my husband's computer without any problems so I sent it off to her. Now she is saying her computer will open it but its really slow and so she took it to CVS and they couldn't open it so now shes doing the "what to do" thing. I haven't ever had a problem with the disks I burn and I'm not sure what to do here... do I keep burning, labeling and mailing her DVDs when it sounds like the problem is on her end?

That is what I thought... but now she has CVS telling her the dvd is bad... but lets face it, its not like they have a reliable product.
She has alot of friends and I definitly want her to remain a happy client but at the same time, how much more do I do??

Not that it should make much difference, but it is DVD-r or DVD+r ?
Just an example, I have a weird DVD player which only seems to like the -R media.
Also, is her PC old? How old is the dvd reader in those computers? Are the latest drivers for the device installed? Are they on the floor or in a high dust environment?
Could all be factors. | | | |

I've had certain brands of DVD's work on one computer but not another. May not be the case here but it's happened here from the burn on a desktop to not seen on the newer laptop. I tried a different brand DVD and there was no problem.

-r work way more in dvd's than +r's, two the brand of disk you are using could be playing a role in this. that's why i use ritek ridata, from DVD-R, Flash Drive, SD Card, Micro SD, USB Drive, CD Case, Blank DVD, DVD Case - SuperMediaStore.com

I will second Ritek -r single layer media, preferably burned slow (no more than 8x) for maximum compatibility.

Before sending her any others, I'd either meet with her to show that the discs work fine on your computer or tell her to send all the discs back for a refund.

Why not buy a flash drive or two and give her the images on that and be done with it.
8GB flash drives are around $20 these days.
