I have a good friend of mine that is getting married 1/29/11 and I was going to do it for her, but some last minute changes caused it to be moved from Houston to Plano.

Budget is only $200-300 for a couple of hours and a shoot and burn (small wedding party and only close family involved)
she would only need someone from 4:30 - 6:30 at the Gleneagles Country Club

I know it's asking a lot, but I would really like her to have something nice if you can help

I'm not as experienced in doing weddings, but I've tagged along a couple of times (and taken photos at relatives weddings for fun). I have adequate equipment (5D, XTi, lots of primes, off camera flash and stands) and know my equipment well. Let her take a look at my site and the galleries under "weddings" and I'll be happy to do this.

Good luck to your friend if she finds someone else.

Probably their best bet is to get someone that is still building their portfolio as $200-$300 is less than most of us charge even for a portrait session. Best of luck to your friends.

I can do it if the first offer doesn't work out. Or if she wants a second shooter. I mainly do sports and portrait photography, but I'm slowly working on building a wedding portfolio.

Susan and Lyncca,
I understand the budget and I also understand what I am asking, so if you're not available that is fine but just leave it at that....

That is a good deal for someone looking for the experience. $200-$300 for 2 hours on site.

Keep in mind, whoever is doing this, it will be pretty dark at that time, and that country club has dark wood and does require you to know what you are doing flash wise. Plus, where they set the cake up, there are windows behind it, so watch your flash and your reflection. If you need some samples from that club, I have some under the Weddings category. I think it's titled Katherine + David.

Leslie,
You weren't kidding! It is a very dark venue....yikes. I've had my share of that or I would do it. :(

Sounds tempting, but I'll be shooting a few things that morning and probably need to circle back with my family. Wish I could help!

If nobody else steps up, I might be game anyway.
