This is my contact - I pay 385. annually - This is through PHOTO.NET - if you are a member 25 annually you can get the benifit of insurance...1M liablity 10K of itemized equipment 900 not scheduled - it is replacement cost - 250 deductable - I do not carry insurance for card loss etc - I got a quote from other company and it was 650. but they added all kinds of weird stuff I did not want - this is only liablity and equipment. Bare bones...

Yeah...yet another reason for us to look elsewhere.

Of course, that's another flag to me, but that's just one more reason to ask for another quote!
Phisch,

Did you compare the two quotes? If yes, what was the conclusion?

I'm glad you asked because I would recommend the company that PPA partners with. The agent I talked to was very thorough and quick to respond, email or phone. For now, I only have equipment but if I need liability, they provided me a form to show and I just have to call them and pay for it if I want it. Also, you're covered the day you fill out the forms, not necessarily when you pay. I'm pretty happy with them so far, it's really easy to add/change my equipment list, too, I just have to call or email. I can't remember what the deductible is either, it's pretty low though. All in all the insurance through them plus PPA membership was close to the annual cost of going thru Hartford.
