Thought I'd pick up a couple of these, one for my wife and one for my daughter. My dilemma? Do I take the cash with me, or just write a check?

I don't see the big deal. The only ones who really have the right to scoff at this are florists. I would never recommend someone buy their ring from a large chain store, you will get fleeced. We got my ring from a wholesaler and got a great deal for a nice diamond. It's not like Costco is offering wedding photography service, cakes, DJs, officiants...

...yet

Its only a matter of time before they figure out how to make money on it, too.

Compare it to having a new kitchen put in 50 years ago verses today, which involves a trip to The Home Depot.

Well... no matter what we say or think about whether prospective brides will find ways to save money, Costco made national news this morning.

Reminds me of the groom to be who insisted they get the negatives, "Because we can take them to Wal Mart and buy pictures for lot less than your price. " My response? Ultimately professional..."Well, go get the WM photographer to photograph your wedding," as I got up, walked to the door, opened it, and stood there looking at them. Good ridance.
