Need tips for shooting in the heat of the summer - 05-21-2011, 10:56 AM

Hi guys,
I have a client who wants to do an outdoor e-session in June.
We are looking into some possible outdoor locations with lots of available shade, preferably in the Fort Bend area, but also in southwest Houston.

Do you guys have any tips for shooting in the heat? Like the best time to shoot (as you may know, it gets hot here as early as 8 am) or anything else I may need to be aware of?

And do you guys have some locations in mind that are ideal to shoot in during the summer? She wants to shoot around 5 pm.

As long as you don't go to Laredo to shoot, it won't be that hot.

And tell them to bring some powder makeup in case they start getting shiny :)

Keep hydrated, both you and the clients.

Blotting cloths are great for girls too. They blot sweat and and oil without removing makeup. I used them with several bridals last year in the heat and they worked great.

5pm might be early during summer time but if there's isnt any way around then be it. . .Don't fight the sun. Work with it.

Plenty of H2O! :)
