Rustic places in Austin Tx? - 08-10-2011, 12:54 PM

Hey guys/gals,
I need some help with finding some old buildings that are safe to shoot engagement photos. Do any of you have any suggestions where to go? I do want to use the sun in the background on some and also use my strobes some. But the goal is mostly natural light. I've shot downtown before, but this couple wants a rustic look. Any help will be MUCH appreciated.

Todd

There's a little town about 20 minutes south of Austin Proper, Kyle, and it's got a great town square and some old buildings with railroad tracks and such. and once you get just out of the "town square" there are some open fields that could be nice too!

Good luck!

I second the Ghost Town in Manor. Super nice folks and you can get a great burger there after the shoot! :)
