Depends on the culture. Small for a South Asian wedding may be around 500 people.

I've shot a wedding with 12 people and a wedding with 700 people.

for my rate consideration,

small = less than 40 people
medium = in the 50-100 ppl range
large = 100+

basically, because i don't really work less/relax more when there are 100 people vs. 500 people. anything over 100 people is subject to my published rates. rate adjustments are considered with more intimate weddings, but not always granted.

Thanks for the replies. Thinking about adding small weddings to my event offerings, hence the question.

I'm shooting a buddy's wedding in a few weekends... and there are four people attending, including myself. Pretty sure that is in the "Tiny" category.

Itsy < 10, bitsy < 50, tiny < 100, small < 150, medium < 300, large > 400. But that's the Asian & Latinos' wedding scale. Depend on your target market, adjust it accordingly.

Indian wedding in India are pretty big. 2000+ people, sometime more. No RSVP method. You just assume they will come.
Generally two photographer/videographer from both side.

my average wedding is about 250pp - the largest I've shot is 400 - smallest - 2 bride and groom - I consider under 100 small... 40 and below intimate.... I charge the same no matter the size...
