Only heard a bit about this but Groom Suing Photographer 7 years after Wedding

Said that he missed the final dance shots and some other minor shots, suing him for something like $38,000 since that is what it would cost him to recreate the wedding and get all the people back. Funny thing is that the Bride and Groom divorced around 2 years ago and she moved to Europe!

It was just a quick blurb on the news but it brought to mind how long should you be required to keep your image files from a Wedding shoot and should you state that information in the contract (though you may keep them longer to CYA).

Really I could see people going through the disaster like the wildfires that we experienced this summer in Texas and how them getting say their wedding pics reprinted would/could lift their spirits in a hard time.

Remember there are some crazy people out there that would love to make $$$ off of you!
