Let me start by saying that this is a "non-paid" opportunity and I've decided to post because it is a great op for those looking for experience - or who has nothing else to do on New Year's Eve!
Did I mention, it's on New Year's Eve? Reception is set to end by 10 p.m.
I am shooting a wedding for a family friend and could really use a second-shooter who can double as an assistant. This is a small affair (less than 100 guests, incl. wedding party), but in 2 different locations - Stafford, TX for wedding prep and ceremony, then Champions in NW Houston for Reception. I will provide transportation - no problem.
I am fairly new to "wedding" photography and have shot the last 3 with no assistant or second shooter, so this time around, I would really like to try it with a second, or at the least, an assistant !
Someone with their own gear is preferred, too. If this works well, I am looking to find someone I can second with on a more permanent basis for "paid" shoots.
I am always looking for a mentor too...so, if you are a pro at the wedding circuit, keep this op in mind too. Just as long as you don't mind shadowing me.
