Flush Mount vs. Coffee table book - 02-19-2008, 05:11 PM

What is the difference between the two. I thought it would be easier just to ask then trying to figure it out through pictures and statements haven't helped much. One looked like it was just a hard bound coffee table book and then the flush mount was leather and more classy.

Sometimes I feel so stupid but this is how ya learn right?

I differentiate the 2 as follows.

Flush mount generally has thicker pages and when opened will lay flat. A magazine style coffee table book has thinner pages and will still open like a magazine even though it may be hard covered. The generic statement of "a coffee table book" in my opinion could refer to either book.

Scott was correct on the two. I'd add that flush mount albums are the highest end albums being offered these days. Brides love the heavy pages and the archival look and feel of the albums.
However, they cost considerably more than all other types of albums. My last flush mount album cost me over $1,200; and when I added my overhead and profit I had to charge over $1,500 for it. That's outside the range of many brides (at least many in the area I serve).
