Experience*: 20 years instant photography in malls, I put photos on six inch buttons. I can do buttons in your event , and or I can be a second shooter.
I moved here last year from Mexico and still have not been able to find a mall location. I have only shot 2 weddings, I was the primary shooter.
I feel like I am very proficient with Photo Shop, I have been taking classes on Lynda.com and Kelby for 5 years., and plan to put a photo restoration business on the net after I finish studying some courses.

Pay*: pay me what ever you want to, as long as you would be willing to let me put some of the photos on my web site, still under contruction.

No offense, but I just peeked at a couple of pages on this thread and saw some very high rates quoted by photographers with less than five years of experience.
Most people I know (pro and non-pro, all with 2+ decades of experience in our own photographic specialty) would second shoot for colleagues/friends in the area for free, or gas reimbursement if the friend wants to be nice.
Maybe wedding photography allows that much variability on prices - but it seems like some of the rates advertised here are out of range.

I see both sides - however, I do agree. I was crucified for asking if anyone was interested in being a "non paid second" here when my normal second wasn't available.

I personally think with almost 350 posts on this page over 4 years this thread is not as useful as a directory could be. (Not sure if that's even possible.)

I know if I'm looking for a 2nd I'm more likely to post a new thread over sifting through 11 pages of posts.

As for the rates--I only 2nd shoot for free if they agree to 2nd shoot for me (an agreed swap with 2 dates, not an IOU). Otherwise I ask for $35 per hour, but I'm flexible, especially for folks I want to work with or venues I've never shot at.
