Anyone Need Assistant?

Hello everyone! My name is Toi and I am new to this website, but I am hoping to learn a lot! I have been a wedding photographer's assistant for two years. I assist at weddings, engagement and bridal shoots, some modeling shoots and a few editorial. When the occasion arises, I am also a second shooter if the venue is right. Currently I don't own a "professional" camera yet, but I hope to in the very near future. The photographer I assist now generously allows me to use one of his extra Canons.

I absolutely love what I do. I live for weddings on the weekends, and shoots in the evenings.

I am also looking for other photographers who need an assistant. I currently only have approx. 6 weddings on the books for the remainder of the year, and would love to work with other photographers. My theory is, by working with other photographers, I get a more well-rounded education in assisting and as a second shooter. I've been using PhotoShop for over two years as well.

Be sure to add your info in the Directory tab up in the menu bar

and also there is a seperate list for available 2nd shooters in the weddings discussions part of the forum...

also - there is a list of photographers in the Dallas area in the Dallas section.

Addding your name in all of those will help peole fine you easy when they are doing a search for an assistant!
