Revolution Imaging & Design? (outsource wedding PS)

I received an email today from Revolution Imaging & Design .

They are a company that offers to do the post-prossing work for weddings for photographers. I usually do my own - but there have been times where (between day job, family and shoots) I get myself slightly overbooked and find that all my spare time is spent in LR and PS.

I have thought about subbing out this part of the work but figured it would be too costly - but their prices seem reasonable (not that I have looked at any other companies)...

Has anyone heard of these guys - or have any other suggestions to look at?

mmm i do this for several people, and i only charge .20 per image - and no cull fee... just to give you a price point reference

I just signed up with them. I have so much editing to do, I can't keep up. I've talked with the guy on the phone several times. He's very nice and knowledgeable. I gave them 10 images, some of the bad ones from the wedding reception in the DR. They were a bit dark and very orange (all the ones seem to be orange from receptions there). Anyway, they showed me a few that they did next to the original. They did some reg. converts, wb and such, along with some sepia and black and white and stuff. They did an awesome job! I'm definitely going to be using them.

There are many services like this one, but it's hard to get comparisons from
people whose opinion you trust.

Mel, I just wanted to let you know, I sent Revolution 3 weddings and an engagement session (over 1000 images just from this e-session). They got my hard drive today, and they just sent me a sample of some of the processed ones from the engagement session. That session was first on my list. They sent me a large sample via online gallery, LOVE THEM!! I HIGHLY recommend them. Jack has been wonderful to work with. Chris is the one that did my editing for the engagement. I will let you know how they do with the wedding images, but the sample they sent me of some really bad ones I did from a reception (bad in a sense they were dark and orange/yellow light/noisy) were awesome. One of my shooters has tried to duplicate what they did, and is having a hard time duplicating it. So, two thumbs up so far! Oh, and they've bent over backwards for me. I didn't have a drive with space, they sent me a brand new one that arrived the next day. I couldn't get it to work on my comp, they offered to send another one asap. When I ended up finding one at the house, they gave me an overnight shipping label. They normally use FedEx, but I said UPS is right across the street; so, they called UPS and set up an account with them. They have also called to talk me through things and have been prompt on email replies.

There are a couple other companies out there that do the same thing:

I signed up with mylavalu and sent in a wedding and got the results back. Overall, I'm very pleased with what they did. And it saved me a ton of time as well. When you sign up, you fill out a preferences questionnaire that they'll go by to edit your images. Anyway, just some options for everyone else interested. :-)

Those are two other great companies, Jason. Never used them, but I hear that there is a waiting list at shootdotedit.com. Not sure if that's the same with that first one now or not. I know the big companies all have waiting lists, or that used to be the case.

Leslie - I just talked to Jack... what a nice guy! I just signed up with them, but I don't have anything booked until late February - so I will try them out then.

After you mentioned hard drives - I remembered that I had seen some Iomega 120gb flash drives for under $60 with free shipping at buy.com the other day... I just ordered 2 so I can have them to send back and forth.
