Great roundup of info, Tom.

Actually, at my first wedding I was told to show up at a certain time, wear a tux and then say "I do."

I am photographing a maternity session tomorrow for someone who's still ticked at hiring a friend for her wedding photography based on price (he was cheap/nearly free) - she said few of her images "came out" and he spent most of his time chasing the girls who showed up :/

Ugh... practice practice practice. Then practice some more.

Not trying to hijack, but the post above reminded me of another free photog and how I ended up saving the day.

I recently was renting a room in a family's house. Their daughter got knocked up and evicted in the same month, so they moved in. Needless to say, dad wanted them to get married, and do it at the house. She chose to "hire" a friend from high-school who shot for the yearbook. The girl shows up with a EOS rebel film camera ( I asked her what she was shooting with, she said "Oh, I don't know, I just know it takes great pictures!") Shot a roll at the rehearsal, then 3 at the wedding and ran out before the ceremony was half over.... leaving me and my schitzo 10D to finish! All I had was on camera flash( the built in one) and a Sigma 28-80, but out of 350 images I shot, I'd say at least half were good. The bride was certainly thrilled!

Alright :) I have been through the list and have a question!

I am shooting a wedding in March (my third) and the bride seems completly uninterested in getting me the information I need. I need to meet with her face to face and have a chat so that I know what she is looking for. What information do I need to get from her before the wedding? Does anyone have a list of things that they ask to get better prepared?

I'm not sure why, perhaps because the wedding is being planned so last minute so shes really stressed or busy. Not sure. Tips?

I stole it from the Open Talk forum. Not a find from me. But still, watch it.
