Trying to improve an image. - 06-30-2009, 08:22 AM

A friend I met in Hong Kong sent me some photos of his wedding. One caught my eye, so I started playing with it. Just trying to get better at this so any comments and critique would be highly appreciated.

1. My improvements or un-improvements.

2. Original image.

I like your crop, but that might have been where I stopped (just an opinion, though).

I like the original also. Maybe a small crop from the left.

I like the crop and warmer colors of the edited version, but I'm not a fan of the water color effect. Undo the watercolor filter (or whatever it was) and I think it would be better.

Great shot btw.

I personally like the space on the left, gives a better sense of composition.

HI, You can actually get rid of the people on the left of the image and make it a great pic. Try using overlays and highlight the bride. :o)

I agree to lose the effect, but to crop just a bit more open on the left than you did. Put the bride in the right 1/3 of the frame.

I'm not the forum police, but I feel the need to point out that the OP has noted that it is NOT OK to edit his images.
