Louisiana Bridal - 01-12-2010, 03:40 PM

Ok, first, sorry for blackening out the faces, but that's the only way I could show these. I did a bridal for a girl who's wedding I will be shooting in March, but she is an undercover FBI agent, so she has to remain anonymous. These were shot near/in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

EDIT: Sorry guys, I went ahead and removed the photos, just in case.

All except for the last one these go to show how important the face is. LOL! Sorry Leslie, they just caught me off guard and like usual I started reviewing the photos before reading the comment. What about a Gaussian blur instead of blackout?

Beautiful setting for a bridal in those first ones!

Yeah, maybe I should do the blur thing instead. I thought about that originally. Oh well!

It's okay now that I'm used to it. At first I though, man, that's a serious dust bunny!

Nice set, though the blackout is throwing me off too. I really like the last shot, not many brides carrying a pistol on their ankle!

Lol, thanks, Melissa! I wish I could show her face. Maybe I will talk to her and find out if I can do it without the name.

Cool stuff!

I can tell she's not a serious pool player though by the way she's holding that cue. The photo is still cool though.

I would hope for his sake that he says "Yes" at the alter... especially if she's got the ankle piece under the dress!

I love the swirl of those stairs in the blue room. That's a beautiful location for a bridal portrait. Love the upstairs balcony and the columns as well. The pump shotgun shot is funny - sort of a warning to new spouse to not make her mad. :-D Wish the last one had different shoes - I think it would make the gun and holster stand out more if the shoes were more typical bridal shoes (i.e., similar color to dress and a bit more feminine). As it is, I think the dark shoes sort of draw your eye from what you mean for it to go to, which is the gun. She's a pretty bride - should be a fun wedding.

Thought of you Leslie as I was hearing the news that Haiti got hit today with a bad earthquake - 7.3 scale. Early reports of a hospital collapsing. Very sad.

Thanks, Lisa! I loved the swirl, too! Yeah, those are the shoes she is wearing for the wedding. So, couldn't help that shoe choice. I am looking forward to it. We are going to do a group shot with all of the FBI agents in their sunglasses and black suits lol.

Oh wow, didn't even hear that about Haiti! Wow, that must have been VERY bad! The buildings are all shoddily made there. Ugh! How very sad.

Hahaha Wil! Thanks! Oh, I didn't even notice she wasn't holding the pool stick correctly lol!

Thanks, Rebecca! It was really pretty! It was raining that day, but the bride was cool with getting wet, so the show went on. Unfortunately, she didn't have a cool umbrella to use. This is where her wedding will be.

Boy, let's hope the SexAndTheCity shoe fairy visits her before then and bestows a pair of Manolo's on her! lol. And, yes, that blue room and staircase is just gorgeous.

Yes, Haiti suffers from so many problems, including lack of infrastructure and shoddy buildings. A friend's sister is a nun with Mother Theresa's order there - they will have their work cut out for them. Well, they do anyway.....it is so sad.

Lol, Larry!

Lol, Lisa!! I hear you!

They definitely will have their work cut out from them! I have heard from friends how bad it is. I just love the country, but it has so many problems. An earthquake of this size can do so much damage there. I feel so bad for them, however, I also wish I was there covering it. Those people always want their story out there.
