I like the pose, but wish the dress wasn't cropped. Good exposure too.

I agree with the above. The pose and angle (shooting up at her) is really nice.

Don't like that you cropped out part of the dress and you put her right in front of the pole.

I am not sure if that is the best angle for that particular bride. To me her head looks pretty small compared to the rest of her. I do like the exposure.

Agree, nice exposure. I can't help but think "less is more" when I look at this shot.

Exposure on point... Two things thou.... to much background distractions and the processing almost looks HDR ish... Try medium contrast b & w instead, that way she won't be competing with the red store.

I could alwasy come here and walk away with valuable insight on bettering my photograph. Thanks guys!
So less background 'noise', no pole overhead, careful about cropping out the dress, watch keystoning and perspecive, and competing subjects. check.
Adjusted the background to make the bride stand out a bit more...

Also, she looks like she could be hanging from that wire strung behind her. It's too sharply in focus and at just the right angle that it runs directly behind her neck. That is another thing I would have tried to figure out a way to avoid when composing the shot.

Agree with above. Power lines=the Devil.
I like the first edit more than the second though I agree that it is just this side of an HDR-feel. I would suggest changing her position and maybe moving from side to side (of course I don't know what else would come into the shot then.
Good shot though! | | | |

I love her dress! Ya never shoot a lady from below, it always makes her look larger! ....unless she's in a mini skirt, killer hills and your name is Jordan Chan ROFL

Dont shoot up on a bride this size. Shooting up broadens curves. On petite brides, it helps them achieve a bombshell shape. On brides that already have curves, it just makes their curves wider.
You have some nice leading lines in the brick work there, however your focal point isnt where the lines merge. So your focal point is competing with your bride. B/T the color of the building and the lines, your eye keeps going to the building. You dont want a dual focal point usually. There are several things you can do to get rid of the dual focal point thing. There is a bunch of stuff on our blog about composition that you might find helpful, especially since the example is using bridal portraits.
Fluff her train out when you shoot. It looks like she doesnt have on the right size petticoat with that. By catching air under it and then shooting the pose, you'll make her waistline look MUCH smaller if the hemline is fanned as far as it can go. Thats the same reason why a bride should wear a petticoat with a gown in the 1st place. It creates an optical illusion that makes the bride appear to be smaller than she is. That'll make sure your bride looks as small as possible b4 you shoot.

I like the angles on the first third and last one, very flattering for her curves. I also like the 2 B in the third "Bride 2 B" :)
