Love the 85L/7D combo. Pretty much straight from Raw to JPEG except the last 2 shots.

Also a big thanks to Ming Hao for helping out with this wedding. He was a big rockstar, the girls loved him :)

This one was shot at 1600 ISO, fill flash, with backlight courtesy of the videographer :)

Kenko tubes, love them.

It was a test the bridesmaids came up. they supposed to use laser, but consider the groom was not Catherine Zeta Jones so they went easy on him. Also that blindfolded game you see in the picture.

It was a beautiful and fun wedding. And thank you Viet to let me be part of it. :D

Ming,

Is that traditional?

Does he have to get through without pulling them down?

It is very common in Asian wedding that bridesmaids gave the groom and groomsman tests before they could enter bride's house to bring his bride home. This is my first time see this string thing though. They usually just ask groom or groomsmen pass enough cash through the door, or do couple hundreds push-up, etc..

Yes he did successfully passed the test because after all you wouldn't really want to piss off the groom so he would turn around and walk away from the wedding (that situation did happened from time to time). LOL

Kevin,

Thanks, and yeah Ming got it right. He's been shooting along with me long enough to know probably all the Asian traditions there are. The most common one is the games before the groom gets to see the bride & to prove his worth.

Good shots again Viet. You have a very consistent style. When did you get an 85?
Also, that is some sick shallow DOF.
