To answer your questions, a good friend of mine has done some pictures for Mack Brown's wife in the stadium. He's the one that setup the shoot for us, and he went in to do some shooting of his own.

I put the fisheye on my D700, then threw the camera in the air with the lens facing down on a timer at 8fps. Then I photoshoped myself out.

Took 160 shots to get 2 good ones.

Wow i don't think i could ever throw my camera up in the air like that. I remember seeing a video a long time ago where a guy rigged big helium balloons and his camera to get a shot similar to that

Kevin Swan is the one that had the video of it on his blog sometime early last year. I'm sure you can find it in google. I emailed him for help on the technique, and he was great help in getting me w/ the right person to do it on a Nikon.

I would of thought you used a very long pole or some kind of rig for the "money shot".
