Just posting a few because everytime I try and upload a bunch of images lately, my internet goes out right when I'm almost done. The second to last one is my second shooter's, Todd Stricker. You can see a ton more here: Leslie Spurlock Photography | Facebook. Some of them look like I didn't size them properly. They are actually all sharp.

Leslie, may I hijack your thread for a quick question?
You do have your own style of post processing and I love it. However sometimes I'm wondering if you do your special PP (desaturating, low contrast, warming up colors, vignetting) to all of the images you deliver. I mean a wedding usually brings a lot of images. Did you ever have customer complaints that they want "regular pictures" as well? Just curious, I think keeping your own style is brave.
Great set btw. | | | |

Thanks, guys! Lisa, you will love it! We had so much fun! Wish you could hire me, too! I would love to go back!
Andre, for weddings, most of the time my processing is fairly "typical". For their photowalk, I will usually do some unique things to the images. I've never had any complaints at all. In fact, all of the comments I get from my brides and grooms and their parents I've been compiling. They are usually pretty much blown away, so it seems to be working. I'd be happy to show you a full wedding of mine to see what we deliver. Now, for Italy and another wedding I just did in Austin, I did go a little more "vintage" style just because the scenery lent itself to that look. I was hoping to go for an older style look to the Italy one because of the oldness of the buildings. So far, from what Abi has seen of her images from Italy, these are two of her remarks (first is from the wedding images, second from the engagement ones):
omg leslie... we are speachless.. you and todd are sooo talented...i dont know even know what to say but..thank from the bottom of our hearts xxoo you guys are truly photo journalists and your pictures tell a story. we are so lucky to have you both tell our story. you and todd are talented photographers but more important beautiful ppl inside and out.
Leslie and Todd...all we can say is WOW...over and above all our expectations!!!!!!!!! you guys truly capture the magical essence of the moments. Salute to our photographers and now friends xxoo we love you guys!! can wait to see the others...be prepared to come to Canada ;)

Thanks for the great explanation, Leslie. This is greatly appreciated. And yes, I would love to see a full wedding gallery. I have to admit I try to keep the processing much simpler most of the time because I was afraid people might not like (or get tired of) it. Even though I'd love to overdo it from time to time.

You are very welcome! Yeah, with weddings, I tend to keep things fairly clean in terms of the processing, but I will add some different stuff to some images, especially the photo walk. Usually, I have several images of the same thing, so I will do one normal and a couple with something unique. Anyway, here are two weddings I recently did, and you can see what I mean. Oh, btw, with bridals and engagements, it's a whole different ball game. I guess that's why so many people call me just to shoot that stuff if they can't afford my wedding prices. Anyway, here you go:
Go to Collages.net Home. The first one's username is Naoko and Aaron. The password is 17823. The second one is Katie and John's wedding. Password is the same. For a recent sample engagement, the username is EmilyMichael (put it in just like that, don't ask me why it's like that, long explanation lol). Password same. For a recent bridal username is Emily's Bridal. Same password.

I have always loved your images and have often wondered are these actions you use for your pp or do you do edit each individually?

Thanks, everyone! Heather, it's funny, one of my "fans" is using number 4 for her FB profile pic. I was a little shocked, but she was obviously at the wedding. She may have even been a bridesmaid.
Thanks, Steven! Actually, I don't really use actions in Photoshop anymore (only on occasion, except for highlight paramedic and noiseware). I use my own presets that I developed for LR and use some of Totally Rad's presets. Yes, I edit each of my images individually. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
