Natalie's Bridals - 07-20-2010, 11:54 PM

I did some bridals this past week at an old bed and breakfast in the Richmond area...I'm not sure about the last one, is it cheesy? When I saw the piano I automatically thought antique look but I'm scared it looks cheesy, lol!

Really pretty shots you have here.
a few distracting things for my taste in a few but i wasn't sure if you wanted CC. surely i don't want to step on toes :)

My favs are shot 3 and the last one, my attention tends to go to the tea pot item but i love the feel to the shot and i have yet to see this done in a bridal.

Oh yes sorry I forgot to put but CC is greatly welcome because I still have a lot to learn! I didn't even notice the teapot when I was taking the shot or when I was editing it...one bad habit I have when taking the photo AND editing the photo is paying attention to the main subject and not the surroundings...uuugh I really need to break that! But thank you for the reply!

Personally, I don't like the last one, but if you're going for the antique look I think it works. Maybe add some yellowing and water stain it might add more to what you're going for. The second to last one is nice, but on the rest of them where you're using flash I think your lighting is either too harsh or too flat.

I can definitely see what you're saying about the lighting I was using my alien bee on the lowest setting and it was still very bright but I didn't have a lot of time to mess around as we only had an hour at this location so we were running around crazy, lol!

I feel that your skin smoothing or noise ware is a bit excessive for me. I think the 5th one is your best comp/pose, but I'm not digging the hand behind the face. YMMV

Very nice shots. Did they charge you to use the bed and breakfast or did you just walk in??
