Well, it's ... different. Not my cup of tea, sorry. I'm seeing over processed snapshots. Only the first one works for me. No offense meant.

To make the "snapshots" look good is a art :), not many photographers are good at it.
I love all the shots btw. :)

@Leslie and Tracie: Thanks, ladies!
Holly, thanks for the feedback! There is another shot that shows his shoes (not cut off at the ankle) but we liked their "extra serious" expressions a tiny bit more in this one. Thought it worked well for the intense processing w/ texture that we normally don't do. Might do it on the other one now though...thanks for the tip!

@Andre, lol, guess one man's 'snapshots' are another man's masterpieces ;) We'll have to look into your work more!
Actually, we do have a different style and our modern brides love it, so that's good for us. lol The pics were well received and we got a lot of good feedback from the NYC feature, but that's probably because our audience goes for this look. But thanks for the feedback!
Haha, thanks Khanh! :) | | | |

You use a lot more sun flare/haze than I would, but otherwise I absolutely just love yalls work. I even love all the individual hazey (is that a word?) shots, I just think there are a lot of them (at least from what you displayed here).
You have a unique style and that is what I think is important. You do a great job at capturing emotion and I love your themed shoots. I would imagine you have brides beating your door down ;)

I am a huge fan of the processing that looks like no processing was done, with that said, I am strongly drawn to the images in round two of your post. Are you shooting wide open in that part of the set?

Thanks, Amy! I also like processing that looks pretty natural, so a lot of my favorites have more of that look. I shot some of them wide open, but the first couple shots weren't wide open. This couple had tons of photos and Matt chose some of his favs for the first post, so they may be a little different than my second upload. Since our backgrounds in photography were different, our styles can be different sometimes, too. What you see depends on which one of us has time to post our favs to the forum!! lol

gotcha....I was mainly looking at the 2nd one - the one where they are in the blanket and the 2nd to last one. I LOVE the emotion and the images, just a little soft in places and I was curious if it was because it was shot wide open.
and I am guilty of over-processing. when I downloaded the TRA actions a few years ago, the more actions the better the image. HA! Now, I generally dont do anything to my images now OR at least I make it look that way. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
