1. The red flare on his shirt could be toned down a bit it's drawing attention away from the couple.

3. Seems too posed. They should have their fingers or at least thumbs wrapped around each other.

Other than that, I think it's a really good set. I like the warmth and sharpness of the photos.

That last one? The dog on the right looks really posed! Very cute!

Great job! I get what Peter is saying about their hands, they would naturally grasp each other. But they look very comfortable otherwise.

Ouch, you chopped off 12 legs in that last shot.

What did you use to soften their skin?

Portraiture plugin for LR. Feels a little heavy to me. I usually use Perfect Portrait by Rita over at The CoffeShop blog but decided to try Portraiture. I might redo them for the prints. Do they seem overly cooked to you?

Keeping the aspect ratio, something had to go. :/ Think it looks that bad?

The dogs were NOT wanting to sit still. lol They were constantly turning and trying to go.

I liked the idea of the shot a lot and I'm ok with the results. Too posed I think is right. It just isn't a natural hand hold. I think maybe just hooking the pinkies together next time.

Thanks. 1 was the favorite one. The whole family just loved that one. I guess I could burn that in some though.

Yep. Totally agree. I knew what I wanted, just not how to make it look natural. :(

I understand.

Yes, but I may just be overly sensitive on that. Others may have no problem with it. It's still a cute shot.

I didnt notice the cropped legs....eyes were drawn to the the smiling faces.

yes, overly cooked skin and processing in general. The skin tones are red and sometimes yellow... (might be my monitor or my eyes...been staring at html code all day).

overall - first engagement session is off to a good start. Loosen up your subjects and and watch out with the over-processing. Keep it up!!!
