Trying out my new D7000 with this enaggement shoot. CC welcomed.

Angel, thanks to you (showing me your d7000 shot), i had to go grab one plus a lens suitable for APS-C sensor, and now I'm $2000 poorer

Been on both sides of the camp (Nikon vs Canon) I've always like my canon's cooler color profile better than Nikon's warmer one. but this new body has really gotten the auto white balance down right, esp. in the skin tone. It won't matter to those who shoot with Kelvin temperature setting in white balance. Noise control is almost as good as full-frame camera alghough the depth of field is not as shallow. Overall I am impressed with the D7000, esp. with a price tag half of my full-frame camera. the only gripe I have: the shutter button is easily pressed and picture taken accidentally. Also, as with D700 and D3, exposure metering tends to be a little on the hot side in direct sun light or brightly illuminated place. A -0.3 or -0.7 is needed sometimes. the auto-focus is good; more reliable with the center-point focusing. It is not as fast as the D700 or the D3, but better than the 5D2's 3 year old technology. The d7000 will become my new favorite walk around camera for family pictures and those short weelend trip and anything in between. Still need to test it more before shooting a full wedding event with it. Now if only I can get my hands on a tokina 11-16mm without having to sell my blood first...

After 1 week intense testing. I reached a new conclusion about nikon D7000 or any non full-frame camera, for that matter: once you've used a full-frame sensor camera, you can never go back to an apc-sensor camera. I returned my D7000. As much as I like it and it been the best non full-frame nikon body, it just doesn't feel like a D700/D3 or 5D2.

Anyways, i bought a brand new D7000 verticle battery grip MB-D11 EN-EL15 that I can't return. it is OEM version. it's never been opened. If anyone wants to take it off of my hand - $45. prefer houston buyer. text me 713-922-4202 Sam
