Wasssup my peeps! Man, it's been a while and I haven't posted anything here since last year. So to get ya up to speed.... I changed things up a bit since last year.... I moved 80% to film (Kodak Portra). It just fits my style better.... Uber sharp images were never my focus, I have always been a emotional shooter. I'll post a image post later, but for now here are some links.

What format are you using? 35mm or 120?

Most 35mm (Canon 1V) some of the portraits are the Mamiya and the 80 1.9. I'm not totally comfortable with manual focus yet.

How do your clients react to you using film? Do you find they like it, or it makes them nervous? Ive gotten various reactions from people, some people even act like film wont give you good images anymore, which makes no sense its just seems to fit the zeitgeist.

Im just curious what your seeing in the wedding market.

The funny thing is my higher paying clients actually want film... Some can tell the difference.. some can't.

Son where you been man! Haven't seen you here or at FM. Cool you're doing a lot of film. How would you say that's affected your overhead? Does it result in less take home due to more expenses than digital?

Ha..ha.. Been freaking busy man!! I have time to stop in and post a few, but not pictures. As far as film, the first few weddings I had to take a hit because I booked them last year. Which is fine by me, because I'm never going back to 100% digital. My work load is down to probably 1/3 of what it was and I have more time to market myself. Sure I pay between $175 - $200 per wedding to process and scan the images, but the free time and time with my wife more than makes up for it.

Also I'm getting higher paying clientele who actually prefer film, so after a few more weddings the extra cost is going to be nill. For ME it just works...
