Critique: CC:

I am not an expert at weddings, or photography in general. I was asked to do this wedding, and I would like feedback. The PP, is the type that the bride was interested in, so I went with it. This was my first wedding, I know that there aren't many "people shots" but I wasn't the one capturing that stuff. Honest opinions welcome!

They are ok from a wedding shooter perspective. Static shots are always easy, and you need to work on these. People shots are more dynamic and much harder to nail. Most of these wouldn't make it pass the first time I filter through my shots after the wedding due to weird angle, and how you position her hand, and also that seat-belt etc.

Tips for next time shooting static objects:
- Shoot tight, especially close-ups. You want to exclude everything else & focus on the object(s) you want to present.
- Women hands will look slenderer & smoother if you get them to put the fingers together, not spread out. Men on the other hand, need to slightly open.
- Choose a simple background. If you notice on this board, most of the good shooters will incorporate a more complex background into the shoot, but they almost never overpower the primary subject(s). It is safer & easier to start out with a plain background.

Great advice from Viet. My personal opinion would be that the processing is too yellow; I'm assuming it's supposed to have a vintage feel but it comes across to me as dirty.

I like the vintage feel, is that what they wanted? I think it's very cool. As for the cropping and framing, I think Viet is giving good advice.

I just love that vintage stuff! Technically right or wrong, I'm all over it.

The watch-and-ring shot is nice.
