Chris & Kelly Engagement Session - 07-22-2011, 10:55 PM

Critique: NC:

It has been a while since I posted a session here.

Chris and Kelly went on a bunch of dates to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, so that is where we did our engagement session. Feel free to give C&C.

1.

2.

Kelly is a dietician and loves Chemistry.

3.

We spent a good bit of time goofing around.

4.

5.

I like to get headshots of each person at each E-session.

8.

9.

10. RAWR!

(That flare on his head kills me. Think I am going to spend the time and clone it out.)

I like that you did two perspectives with 1 and 9, although I really like 9. Just do different and I love the green grass filling so much of the picture.

I like #7 with the trees to, although it looks like the sky was a tad bright that shot. I like the sense of scale as almost a metaphor of them in the vast world or something.

I think 8 and 10 are the same.

Great work! I like that you make them look so relaxed in front of the camera. Beautiful portraits and pretty light in 5 & 6. 1 & 9 is fun and crisp, and 7 is great B/W and nice scale. 8 is a cool location but I feel like they get lost in the picture. I guess an assistant hiding behind the rock to the left with a flash would have done the trick :) Anyway, nice cession!

+1 on the flare - I was thinking it was a hat or aliens penetrating the contents of his head.

7 and 9 are fav's!!! great job :)

Knowing how Tom shoot, that's probably just light-wrap with maybe a touch of flash to fill. The man is getting too good with his lighting, be it natural or off camera.

Haha. Thanks Viet.

5 and 6 are both pretty much straight out of the camera. Almost no editing.
